Magellan Research uses the latest information technology to conduct public opinion polls featuring rapid turnaround to the customer without sacrificing accuracy.

Magellan has conducted campaign and issue polling throughout Nevada as well as having performed Market Research nationwide. Magellan's experienced Interview staff uses its custom CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) computer system to ensure speed and accuracy.

Magellan was founded by Marvin Longabaugh. Mr. Longabaugh has nearly two decades experience in Information Technology. Prior to starting Magellan, he was a Senior Project Manager in IT for Mirage Resorts and supervised several implementations during the opening of the Bellagio resort.

He also served as Manager of the Information Systems Group that conducted political polling for Mirage Resorts. Mirage was the first polling organization to correctly predict the magnitude of Oscar Goodman's stirring election as Mayor of Las Vegas in 1999.

Mr. Longabaugh has a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University and a J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law (UNLV). He served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Justice Myron E. Leavitt of the Nevada Supreme Court. He currently is Managing Partner of Longabaugh Law Offices, a law firm located in Las Vegas, NV.
